  1. Executive Order 1100:  Discussion of Changes from EO 1065
    Copy of email from  "Ken O'Donnell" <kodonnell@calstate.edu>

    Dear CSU deans and AVPs of undergraduate education,

    The CSU has posted Executive Order 1100, which updates the GE Breadth transfer curriculum with these changes:

    - permits the delay of some lower-division GE until after transfer the CSU, for community college students who earn certain STEM Associate Degrees for Transfer;

    - establishes a minimum grade of C for “Golden Four” courses in written communication, oral communication, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning, so that grade requirements are now the same both for GE certification and for transfer admission eligibility; and

    - phases out the use of “subareas” within Area D Social Sciences.

    You can see the exact changes and new wording in the attached, which marks revisions since the prior Executive Order.  You may also want to update any bookmarks so you get to the current clean copy, available at http://www.calstate.edu/eo/EO-1100.html.
